Privacy Policy

PrepX Slide (slide.scalpelxlab.com) is run by ScalpelXLab. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who processes it and your choices. Contact: admin@scalpelxlab.com.

• Account details from Google sign-in: your name, email address and profile picture, as shared by Google when you sign in.
• Your decks: the topics you enter, chosen audience and length, outlines, slide content and any edits you make, and the .pptx files we build for you.
• Plan and Gem records: your plan, its renewal date and your Gem balance.
• Payment records: the Razorpay payment, order and subscription IDs, the product, amount and currency. Card, UPI and bank details are handled by Razorpay and never reach us.
• Usage records: when you build outlines, generate decks or regenerate slides, with the Gems used, to run limits and track costs.
• Technical data: our hosting provider records server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to keep the Service running and secure.

• We do not use advertising or analytics trackers.
• We do not sell or rent your personal data.
• Please do not enter patient names or other identifying patient information. The Service is for general topics and does not need it.

• to sign you in and keep your decks in your library;
• to generate notes, slides and images for the topics you request;
• to process payments, add Gems and manage your plan;
• to prevent abuse (for example limits on free Gems and on regenerations) and to keep the Service secure;
• to answer your support, refund and error-report emails.

We use these providers to run the Service. Each receives only what it needs:

• Supabase: sign-in, database and file storage (your account, decks and records).
• Google: Google sign-in, and Google Cloud, which hosts the Service.
• Anthropic (Claude API): receives the topics, audience and outline you choose so the AI can write the notes and slides. We do not send your name or email.
• Razorpay: processes payments and subscriptions.
• Wikimedia Commons: images are searched for by topic and shown from Wikimedia's servers, so your browser connects to them when it displays an image.
• Google Fonts: provides the icon font, so your browser connects to Google's servers to load it.

These providers may process data outside India, including in Singapore and the United States. We may also disclose data if required by law.

To keep decks fast and affordable, the AI-written notes and slides for a topic are saved and may be reused for other users who request the same topic. This shared content never includes your name, email or the edits you make to your own decks; your edits stay in your deck only.

• Sign-in cookies (set by Supabase) keep you signed in. They are essential for the Service.
• prepx_region remembers the country you picked for pricing (India or other countries), for up to one year.
• We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Razorpay's checkout may set its own cookies when you pay.

• Your account and decks are kept until you delete them or ask us to delete your account.
• Payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after an account is deleted.
• Server logs are kept for a limited time by our hosting provider.

You can delete any deck from My decks at any time. You can also ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to delete your account, by emailing admin@scalpelxlab.com from the email address on your account. We will respond within 30 days.

We aim to handle personal data in line with applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to your decks and records is limited to your own account, and secret keys are kept on our servers. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.

The Service is for adults (18 and over) and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and significant changes will be announced on the Service.
